Just a bit of personal opinion on the text, I think a kid is more likely to say ‘let go’ in such a stressful situation, ‘put me down’ is a bit of a mouthful.

I thought that’s what Dave was implying with his arch about Todd and Andie’s history together and the scenes showing her telling Todd the baby died, while instead she gave it up for adoption?
Correct me if I’m wrong but as far as I’m aware Todd doesn’t know that the baby was given up because Angie’s mom coerced her into doing it, and she didn’t have the heart to tell him.
If I remember correctly, Angie gave the baby to the exact orphanage that Selkie was at.. also of course there’s the blatant red hair on Amanda.
I mean, it all could be speculation, but it seemed implied, and there’s the fact that it’s an ingenious plot that the girl who hates Selkie is technically her sister.

My sincere apologies but has anyone else considered the fact that Amanda may be Tod and Andie’s child? She is roughly the right age given they were sixteen when Andie fell pregnant and is an orphan hence was given up for adoption. Furthermore her blue eyes are reminescent of Tod.

Ever heard of CISPA? It’s supposed to be worse than SOPA, except instead of attacking piracy, it violates PRIVACY over the internet, and may over-rule existing laws protecting privacy. Might be worth looking into.

hey if i’m right this is my first post on the site just wanted to say love the comic and i looked up the S. 968, the PROTECT IP Act, and it has got to be one of the most ridiculous things i’ve read(unlike this comic keep up writing it love it)

I took the time to look up those bills on line. SOPA deals with “internet piracy” by giving “the offended parties” (guess who… hints: Microsloth, the Oovie Mindustry and the Terriblevision folks) the ability to have a web site shut down by court order solely by lodging a complaint. Final determination to allow the site back on comes only after a lengthy and expensive trial. Assuming the victim survives.

PIPA does the same thing for web sites and web addresses suspected of selling tainted drugs and handing out “intellectual property” for free.

In both cases, it is the web site that is held responsible, not the people who posted it. So if you or I post a “stolen” video on YouTube or “borrow” a copyrighted image from Google Images to post in an internet forum, it’s the web site that gets in trouble. This is blatantly unfair. I don’t think any company has enough people to check every last submission for “legality” before it goes up on the server.

There’s more to it than that, but that’s the gist, as I saw it.

I made a point of telling all my elected congresspeople to vote against those bills. After they READ the [BLEEP]in’ things, of course.

Andre, on the face of it these would be no different than any regulation of commerce, which the Gov’t can do. That being said, these are bad legislation, which have nothing to do with piracy, other than the names. What I like about this is how nobody likes them and everybody, no matter their political stripe is banding together to oppose them. Of course I love how peopkle on the liberal side of the aisle are forced to say they agree with Rush, Glenn, Hannity, and Medved. Politics indeed makes strange bedfellows.

As a foreign national, living in a foreign country, I’m seriously opposed to any american domestic policy that has such international ramifications. I don’t believe that the american government should have the ability to police something that by its very nature is devoid of any national ownership or identity. If SOPA and PIPA pass, I think America will very quickly find that their diplomatic relations with other countries are only good so long as the citizens of said countries tolerate them. In other words, they’re in for a world of economic, diplomatic and military hurt. Idiots.
